STATE PLAN OF ACTION & CALENDAR FOR ACTIVITIES


  • APRIL – 2018
    1. To organize meetings with the Stakeholders in respect of NALSA Schemes, 2015 and 2016 by involving the Nodal Officer for arriving an Action Plan for better implementation of the NALSA Schemes.
    2. To organize Sensitization programme to the Team of Panel Lawyers and PLVs on NALSA Schemes 2015 and 2016 and to chalk out the modalities for better implementation of NALSA Schemes
    3. National Lok Adalat for settlement of pending and prelitigation Cases as per the instructions of NALSA by conducting more number of pre sittings, by creating awareness about the bi-monthly National Lok Adalats among the public at large through print and electronic media, local cable network and by distribution of pamphlets and by conducting meetings with the police officials, bank officials, insurance companies etc.
    4. To organize the programmes on the Focused Area chosen by TSLSA for the year 2018 NALSA (Legal Services to the victims of Drug Abuse and eradication of Drug menace) Scheme, 2015.
    5 To organize the programmes under the State project for the year 2018-19 ie., NALSA (Legal Services to the workers in Unorganized Sector) Scheme, 2015.
    6Visit to Jails and deficiencies (if any) pointed out during the course of jail visits and steps taken in that regard and conducting Jail Adalats as per feasibility.
    7 Visit to Juvenile Homes, Observation Homes and Oldage Homes and if any deficiencies are pointed out, necessary steps are to be taken on urgent basis under due intimation to the State Authority.

    11 Sensitization Programme / Orientation programme to the Panel Lawyers in Legal Aid Centres attached to Juvenile Justice Boards and the Panel Lawyers attached to other Legal Aid Clinics in the respective Units including Jail visiting Panel Lawyers.
    12 Awareness Campaign on the Rights of Mentally ill Persons and Mentally Disabled Persons in the districts of Khammam, Warangal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad.
    13 Legal Literacy Camps (not less than 4 by DLSA's and MLSC's) including Legal Literacy Camp on the subject Permanent Lok Adalats its scope and benefits.
  • MAY – 2018

    6 Conducting Training Programme for the Members of special Juvenile Police units, JJBs, CWCs and Panel Lawyers as per the Directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and Guidelines of NALSA.

    1. To organize the programmes on the Focused area chosen by TSLSA for the year 2018 ie., NALSA (Legal Services to the Senior Citizens) Scheme, 2015.
    2. To organize the programmes under the State project for the year 2018-19 ie., NALSA (Child Friendly Legal Services to the Children and their Protection) Scheme, 2015.
    3. To conduct Under trial prisoners review committee meeting as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in WP (C ) No.406 / 2013 in the case in in human condition in 1382 prisons and to submit quarterly reports periodically to Telangana State Legal Services Authority (for the quarter from April,2017 to June, 2017).
    4. Review of functioning of Legal Aid Clinics / Village Care and Support Centres and take steps for deletion of un-productive centres and setup new centres wherever necessary, and also review of the functioning of Front Offices, and the work of the PLVs, and to take steps for removal of the PLVs on the ground of disqualification, if any and to identify new enthusiastic PLVS.
    5. Observation of Women's Day, 8th March, 2017 and conducting of Awareness programme in that connection..
    6. Awareness Campaign on the Rights of Mentally ill Persons and Mentally Disabled Persons in the districts of Khammam, Warangal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad.
    7. Monthly Meetings of Monitoring Committees of DLSA's and submission of bi-monthly Monitoring Committee reports to the State Authority.
    8. Visit to Jails and deficiencies (if any) pointed out during the course of jail visits and steps taken in that regard and conducting Jail Adalats as per feasibility.
    9. Visit to Juvenile Homes, Observation Homes and Oldage Homes and if any deficiencies are pointed out, necessary steps are to be taken on urgent basis under due intimation to the State Authority.
    10. Sensitization Programme / Orientation programme to the Panel Lawyers in Legal Aid Centres attached to Juvenile Justice Boards and the Panel Lawyers attached to other Legal Aid Clinics in the respective Units including Jail visiting Panel Lawyers.
    11. Legal Literacy Camps (not less than 4 by DLSA's and MLSC's).
